Die Trying

At a young age, taking risks can feel damning. Life feels safe, so why take a chance at ruining what you have? Our brains are wired for survival, and once our survival needs are met, taking any risk at all technically seems undesirable. What if you end up getting hurt? What if you are rejected by society?

These risks are very strongly overemphasized in our heads. Being outcast from the tribe around you was perhaps a death sentence many thousands of years ago, but it is not anymore. Similarly, almost any other such risk is usually worth taking. If anything, it seems like in our position of comfort we tend to forget that death will arrive at our door one day regardless. So if you want to do something, you should go do it. Now. Or at least die trying.
